While the whole world of House music is mourning now one of the biggest losses to this industry, I also believe it's the perfect opportunity to teach all of our new generation out there that do not know who Frankie Knuckles was, and not only that he was the just a legend for Grammy Award remixes and productions, but also the man who paved the way for House Music to continue, and connect also with other types of House Music. He was an inspiration, not only to me, but to the world with his soft and gentle touch of class, enough to make anyone fall in love with him instantly, and not to mention his always shinning smile to everyone, even to the unknown. My biggest memory of Frankie Knuckles, is when he was chosen to open the largest club in South florida, on my birthday, for the grand opening of a paradise called, "PARAGON" which later I was given the blessing to continue at that Club to be my Dj residency after. The most magical experience ever was spinning at 10am on a Sunday morning "The Whistle song" & "Where love lives" which is still in my heart forever, and in my travel files, for whenever I get the chance, Frankie is always there with me. God rest his soul sweet angel, he will live forever in our hearts, Always.RE-DISCOFIED

His production and remixing team, Rosabel, continues to churn out #1 Billboard dance hits including Rihanna’s “Only girl in the world”, ”Wepa” by Gloria Estefan “Papi” by Jennifer Lopez, and the insanely huge circuit anthem “Chacha Heels” by Rosabel featuring Jeanie Tracy. The team has also worked with the likes of Donna Summer, Janet Jackson, and who could forget their remix of Cher’s “Different Kind of Love”? DJ Abel is undoubtedly at the top of his game and in an industry overrun by fledgling DJs aspiring to follow in his footsteps, he ranks even beyond the title of “super DJ”. He is among the select group of “uber DJs.” Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Miami, Florida, Abel Aguilera has always had a passion for house music. He was given his first pair of turntables and a mixer at fifteen years old and within a year, was spinning high school parties, sweet sixteen’s and weddings. Soon enough, he was spinning career defining Miami nightclubs including “Club 1235”, “Waterfront”, “Paragon”, “Salvation” and he also had a radio mix show on Miami’s Super Q FM 107. Abel’s profile among the circuit community skyrocketed in March of 1992 with the opening of Paragon in South Beach, Miami. South Beach was the epicenter of the U.S. circuit scene, Paragon was the undisputed crown jewel, and Abel reigned supreme as the club’s resident Saturday night DJ. Partiers reveled at Abel’s explosive blend of heavy tribal beats, diva anthems, and retooled classics and with his new status, Abel enjoyed a plethora of headlining offers from clubs and parties from around the world. He expertly selected the best opportunities and by the time Salvation closed its doors in 2001, Abel had solidified his position among the elite after-hour DJs. He had branded his name with two of the circuit’s biggest parties – One Mighty Weekend @ Disney and New York City’s “Alegria” - and with Chicago-based Legendary DJ, Ralphi Rosario, had produced the “Grammy Award Nominee” production and remixing team, Rosabel. “My success boils down to two words,” explains Abel. “Chacha”. You gotta give them the cha-cha. “The Latin blood that runs through my veins is in my music too and that’s what keeps the bodies grooving. Nothing gets the ass shaking more than Latin beats” ! You can experience Abel’s cha cha for yourself at circuit events and major parties throughout the world and at his regular headlining gigs at “Alegria” in New York City, and “URGE” in South Beach. He has also released a handful of “Alegria” compilation dance mix cds. Rosabel’s latest Single , “Let me be myself” Featuring Tamara Wallace, is out now, and released by Tommy Boy Records, Silver Label
